(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate a robbery that took place in Monkton on October 11, 2016.
At 7:07 p.m. two males entered into the T & J Variety store located on Winstanley Street in Monkton. Once inside the store, one of the suspects threatened the store clerk with a firearm while the other suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes. The suspects were last seen running southbound from the variety store.
The two male suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1- 5’5” – 5’9”, slim build, dressed in black pants black, wearing a black Puma hooded sweatshirt with a bright yellow lining inside the hood and yellow accents along the zippers. (A photo of suspect 1 is attached).
Suspect 2- 5’10” – 6’, solid build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and an analog watch with a white face and hands
The West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, and officers from the Forensic Identification Services (FIS) Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
