On Wednesday, December 21, 2016, just before midnight, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Shell gas station, located at 4574 King Street East in Kitchener. A man walked into the store, held out a knife and demanded money and cigarettes from the employee. He then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a white man, 25-years-old, five-feet 10-inches tall with a heavy set. He was clean shaven and wearing a large print black and white checkered hooded sweater and black pants.
