Another Vehicle Entry – Police Offer Tips

(WALKERTON, ON) – On July 15, 2012 at 8:52 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an overnight vehicle entry and theft at a residence along Yonge Street South in Walkerton. Sometime during the late evening July 14th, 2012 or the early morning of July 15th, 2012, loose change, a Scotiabank interact card and vehicle documents were taken from a GMC Yukon. In order to help residents protect their property, the South Bruce OPP is offering the following tips from the Lock it or Lose it initiative:

Always roll up the vehicle windows, lock it and pocket the key
If you have a garage, use it. Lock the door and the vehicle
Always park your vehicle in a well lit area
Never leave valuables or packages in plain sight
