(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday May 08, 2012, Perth County OPP officers in Mitchell were requested to attend at a residence on Arris Cres., where the theft of a bicycle was discovered.
On Monday May 07, 2012 the homeowner realized that an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway in front of the garage had been rummaged through. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the vehicle and the resident did not deem it necessary to report this to police. On Tuesday May 08, 2012, the homeowner discovered that an expensive, black coloured, child sized, Norco Volt, BMX bicycle had been removed from the garage. The theft occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday May 6th, and 7 a.m. Monday May 7th.
The Perth County OPP is urging residents to lock their vehicles, garages and sheds. If suspicious persons or activities are observed, contact the police immediately. If you even suspect you have been the victim of a crime, you are requested to report the incident immediately. Your information might be a piece of the puzzle officers require to solve other crimes.
