On January 26, 2017, at around 11:00 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute on Charles Street East in Kitchener for a report of two students who were engaged in a physical altercation at the back of the school. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries and was released the same day. As a result of the altercation one young person was arrested and charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
