(BLUEWATER, ON) – A South Huron driver will have to find another mode of transportation following a traffic stop that took place yesterday afternoon north of Kippen. Just before 3:30 p.m. on September 30, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a GMC Acadia travelling southbound on London Road (Highway #4) at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed his visual observations of the speeding vehicle by using a RADAR device. The speed of the Acadia was locked at 131 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The officer was able to stop the vehicle and speak with the driver.
Maria KEMMERE, 50 years of age, from South Huron has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. She has a scheduled court appearance on November 17, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her motor vehicle will be impounded for the week.
