On October 8, 2015 at approximately 9:40 pm, there was a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Ainslie Street near the Grand River Terminal in the city of Cambridge. The vehicle, being driven by a 59 year old Cambridge man, was northbound on Ainslie Street just passing the Grand River terminal when a pedestrian, a 59 year old Cambridge man, crossed Ainslie Street just in front of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, who sustained major injuries and was transported to hospital. There was heavy rain at the time of the collision causing poor visibility.
