On Sunday the 8th of November, at approximately 5:34pm, a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle in the southbound lanes of Bayfield Street south of Hamner Street. A 45 year old Barrie male was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Sadly the male has succumbed to his injuries. The Barrie Police Service Traffic Unit is investigating and are urging anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact Constable Chris Allport at (705) 725-7025. Bayfield Street is now open in both directions
