Location: DUNDAS ST N and ELGIN ST N, CAMBRIDGE ON Canada

On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016,at approximately 6:10 a.m., a motor vehicle collision with injuries occurred at the intersection of Dundas Street North and Elgin Street North in the City of Cambridge. A white Chevrolet Impala driven by a 39 year old Cambridge male was attempting to turn east from Elgin Street North onto Dundas Street North. This vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking North across Dundas Street North within the crosswalk. The pedestrian, a 35 year old Cambridge male, was transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Impala was charged with Fail to yield to a pedestrian, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The intersection was closed for approximately 2.5 hours while police investigated.
