Another Collision Involving A School Bus

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On December 14, 2017 at approximately 3:55 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Middlesex Centre Fire Service responded to a two motor vehicle collision involving a full size school bus. The collision occurred at the intersection of Oxbow Drive and Nairn Road, Middlesex Centre.

A black Ford sedan traveling eastbound on Oxbow Drive failed to yield to traffic on Nairn Road. The sedan entered the intersection and it was struck on the passenger side by a school bus travelling northbound on Nairn Road.

The school bus was occupied by 11 elementary school students, none reported injuries.

The driver of the Ford vehicle was not injured. No one was transported by EMS as a result of the collision.

Some children were picked up by caregivers at the scene and others continued home on another school bus.

As a result of the police investigation, 25-year-old female, Lindsay JUDD of Middlesex Centre, has been charged with Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway, pursuant to section 136 (1)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
