(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section has charged an Ottawa man employed as a teacher, following an investigation into allegations that he made sexual comments and inappropriately touched one of his students.
The investigation revealed more than one incident during the 2016 semester (January to April). The incidents occurred while the accused was in the course of his duties as a teacher, while employed by the Central East French Catholic School Board (CECCE).
On April 19, 2016, the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit charged Naoum ABI-SAMRA, 57 years old, of Gatineau with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. He will appear in court this morning.
Investigators are concerned there could be more victims.
