(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday January 22, 2011, Perth County OPP Officers were called to a rural residence along Perth Line 20 west of Russeldale where an ATV had been stolen.
The victims advised police that their black 2002 YAMAHA Kodiak ATV (4 wheeler) bearing Ontario licence plate 68AN2 had been taken from their yard between 10 p.m. on Friday 21 January 2011 and 9 a.m. on Saturday 22 January 2011.
Police investigation indicated that two people walked through a field from Line 16 to the victim’s residence. A duel wheeled truck was also used to drive to where the ATV was parked. The ATV was loaded onto the truck and driven away without being noticed by the owner.
The ATV has silver rims, signal lights, mirrors attached to both sides and there is a frame constructed out of angle iron on the rear of the machine. The VIN # of the ATV is JY4AJ03W52C043136
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have information about this theft to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or to call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). They are also reminding ATV owners to park their machines in locked sheds or garages and to store the ATV keys away from the machine.
