(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On December 19, 2011 just after 8:00 p.m. Huron County OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Bayfield Road in Central Huron when a Ford Van entered the checkpoint. Officers spoke with the driver and noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A 3 day driver’s licence suspension was issued following a warn reading at the roadside. In an effort to prevent drinking and driving, Huron OPP officers will be conducting Festive R.I.D.E checks throughout the county at all hours of the day.
