Last year volunteers were going to install a Winged Pig
Weathervane” on top of Wingham’s Town Hall. The volunteers
quickly abandoned the attempt due to the poor condition of the Bell
Tower. This was confirmed later in the year when they were
renovating Town Hall. The Town Hall project went over budget because
the Bell Tower was ready to topple over and needed major repairs.
Last night several volunteers finally installed the “Copper Winged
Pig Weathervane” on top of Town Hall. WFP expected this
generous donation to be met with laughter and gratitude.
Unfortunately this gesture was met with hostility at Town Hall
