Striking union workers showed up at a Barrie building site causing a disturbance that led to Police being called to diffuse the situation.
On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at 3:10pm Barrie Police were called to 720 Yonge Street, in the City of Barrie, where Local 183 Labour Union members had shown up at a Pratt Homes job site attempting to disrupt work. Seven to eight members parked near by and entered the private property of the condominium complex interrupting construction on site. There were no threats made and no violence during the interaction but the protesters were asked to leave the site many times and refused. Prior to police arrival all parties left allowing the workers to continue on with their day.
