(HURON EAST, ON) – At approximately 11:10 p.m. on September 16, 2011, a Huron County OPP officer observed a vehicle traveling on North Line in Winthrop at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped for speeding. Upon speaking to the driver the officer observed her to be under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently arrested and transported to the Goderich detachment to meet with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician in order to provide two samples of her breath.
The results of the two tests confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Angela TUGWELL (40) of Central Huron has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She will answer to her charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Walkerton on October 31, 2011. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute. LP11264402
