(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON.) – On Sunday October 21, 2012 at about 9:45am members of the Wellington County OPP were conducing radar enforcement and monitoring traffic on County Road 29 north of County Road 22, Centre Wellington Twp. At this time and location Constable Danielle Sargla observed a northbound 2008 Jeep travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the auto on radar at 102 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Andrew Hryciw aged 31 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on December 5, 2012 to answer to the charge.
