(Goderich, ON) – Shortly before midnight on June 11, 2011 Huron OPP officers were advised of a vehicle reportedly doing donuts and driving on the lawn of the Boston Pizza restaurant in Goderich. A description of the vehicle was provided and officers patrolled to locate it.
The vehicle was located a short time later and was stopped. Upon speaking to the driver, the officer formed the grounds that the driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result, the officer read a demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of her breath. The driver made several attempts to provide a sample but did not provide a suitable sample. As a result, Alyda OP DE WEEGH (50) of Ingersoll was charged with one count of Fail to Provide Breath Sample Roadside Device and one count of Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. She will answer to her charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 25th, 2011. Her licence was also suspended for 90 days.
