(HURON COUNTY, ON) As of 9:30 a.m. all roads in Huron County that were previously closed due to road and weather conditions have now been re-opened.
Huron County OPP urges motorists to always drive according to weather and road conditions. Motorists may encounter icy roadways, snow drifts and periodic whiteouts. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination, slow down and arrive safely.
Motorists are encouraged to check weather and road travel conditions by calling 5-1-1or checking online at www.Ontario.ca/trip for up to date road conditions for provincially maintained highways. This bilingual service is available 24 hours a day and provides updates on highway closures and road conditions.
Do Not call the OPP Provincial Communications Centre (PCC) for road and weather conditions. Police will not provide this information. By calling the PCC it ties up phone lines and personnel used for emergency calls.
