(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday December 30, 2014, shortly before 4 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a Chevy Equinox SUV as a result of observable equipment issues. The officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the male driver’s breath and demanded samples of his breath into a roadside screening device. The driver failed the roadside breath test and was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville, where he also failed Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Alexander MACINTYRE (28) of Stratford has been charged with, “driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in bloodâ€, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on February 02, 2015 to answer to this charge. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
