ALERT: Suspect Descriptions Released In Rash Of Suspicious Fires

(NORTH HURON, ON) – On July 3, 2012 at approximately 11:15 p.m. Huron OPP officers and Blyth Fire Department personnel responded to an arson to a Dodge Durango that was parked on Queen Street in Blyth. The fire was extinguished by paramedics that were passing by the scene. The fire caused extensive damage to the vehicle. Witnesses observed two suspects running from the scene.

While investigating this fire, officers were informed of two other fires that had been earlier set to brush piles located at the Blyth sewage plant on North Street. One of the fires took place overnight on June 26, 2012 and the other took place March 25, 2012.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the culprits responsible for these fires. Investigators believe two males, possibly in their early teenage years are responsible. Both males are described as being approximately 5’ 6” in height, with average size builds.
