On Thursday November 1, 2012 at 9:30 p.m., two unknown males knocked on a College Avenue West residence door and asked to speak to one of the tenants. The two masked makes entered the residence, one brandishing a large machete style knife while the other was in possession of a conducted energy weapon. Once the male that the intruders asked for presented himself, he was immediately forced to the ground at knifepoint. Two other people that were in the residence at the time fled the house and called for assistance from a neighbor who then gave chase to the intruders who had also fled the residence.
The two suspects left the residence with a negligible amount of property and identification of the victim and left the scene in a dark-colored sedan, which was last seen, eastbound on College Avenue West, Guelph.
The 44-year-old Guelph male victim was taken to the Guelph General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
Suspect #1 is described as male, white, in his 30s, approximately 5’11, slim to medium build, wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava type mask.
Suspect #2 is described as male, white, in his 30s, approximately 5’11, large build, wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava type mask.
