(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Perth County OPP officers are currently at the scene of a mailbox that had been destroyed by a suspected explosive device on Line 29 south west of Stratford.
They are also at the scene of a mailbox in which a suspected explosive device has been located along Line 46 north, west of GadsHill. The OPP Explosive Disposal Unit is currently enroute to the GadsHill address while the OPP crime unit is on the scene assisting in the investigation these incidents
Rural mailbox owners are requested to carefully check their mailboxes prior to retrieving their mail. If anything suspicious is observed in and around the mailbox they are not to touch anything but are to immediately contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Any resident who may have seen suspicious activity around rural mailboxes is requested to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
