(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers with the assistance of the Huron County OPP Crime Unit are currently investigating a robbery that occurred last night in the Town of Goderich. Just before 10:00 p.m. Huron County OPP officers responded to a single dwelling residence located on West Street after receiving a 9-1-1 call for assistance.
Police learned a male suspect wearing a disguise entered the victim’s residence and proceeded to assault a 21 year old male victim. The attacker then demanded the victim hand over some electronics and a quantity of cash. The victim complied and the attacker immediately fled the residence with the stolen property.
An OPP canine unit attended the scene and a track of the area was completed; the suspect was not located.
The victim did not require medical attention.
The suspect is described as:
A Caucasian male, medium height, with a stocky build.
His face was disguised with bandanas. He was also wearing a red and black flannel jacket and was carrying a gym size duffle bag.
