Sometime between 10:00 p.m. on May 25, 2016 and 6:00 a.m. on May 26, 2016, a Black Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck with licence number 8700TK was taken. The truck has chrome step bars and a black “tri fold” tonneau cover. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen truck available at this time.
The South Bruce OPP recommends that vehicle owners/operators consider the Lock it or Lose it theft prevention tips to help prevent the loss of the vehicle or property from inside the vehicle:
Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the door and pocket the key
If you have a garage, use it. Lock the door and the vehicle
Always park in a well-lit area
Never leave valuable objects in plain view.
Theft is a crime of opportunity that you can help control; Lock it or Lose it.
Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.crimestoppersgb.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
