(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On April 28, 2017 at approximately 5:37 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of Bruce Peninsula OPP (OPP), attended a residence in the Township of Georgian Bluffs in response to a domestic-related assault that had occurred.
A 65-year old male was arrested for spousal assault. Alcohol was a factor. While in custody, the male uttered threats to an officer.
The victim, who had suffered minor injuries, was taken to hospital where she was treated and released.
The accused is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He remains in custody pending a court appearance scheduled for April 29, 2017.
