(PERTH SOUTH, ON) – A local tow truck company has assisted members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with locating an impaired driver shortly before 6:00 p.m. on March 17, 2018.
The lone male driver had contacted roadside assistance, prompting the tow company to attend. Upon arrival, the employee believed the male to be intoxicated and contacted police.
The driver left the area and was located by Perth County OPP travelling southbound on Perth Road 119, in the Township of Perth South.
Fifty-seven-year old Adrian VANDIEPEN of the City of London was arrested and charged with:
Driving while ability impaired (alcohol), and
Driving with more than 100 milligrams of alcohol in blood.
The motor vehicle was towed and impounded, and a driving suspension has been imposed. The driver was released on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
