(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday evening June 28, 2011 around 7:30 p.m. Perth County OPP officers in North Perth were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Road 169 just north of Line 71 in which the driver was injured.
Police investigation revealed that a Dodge Dakota pickup truck had been driving south bound on Road 169 (gravel road). The driver was distracted as he was changing the settings on his radio which resulted in his truck veering towards the ditch. The driver made a corrective manoeuvre but the vehicle fishtailed causing him to lose control. The truck entered the west ditch, rolled and came to rest in an upright position.
The lone occupant (driver), a 22 year old male from Ajax, was transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The driver was charged with careless driving.
