(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday December 17, 2011 around 10 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were patrolling the Milverton Arena parking lot as groups of people had been observed drinking around their vehicles.
As officers were speaking to the offending persons the driver of a car in the parking lot was observed popping the clutch of his vehicle. The driver was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages and was given a roadside breath test which he failed. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he also failed two Intoxilyzer tests.
Abram Friesen (19) of Elmira has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of bloodâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on January 23, 2012 to answer to this charge. In addition he was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
