Aaron Melles – Break And Enter X12

The accused Aaron Melles, 29 years of Waterloo, has been arrested for twelve Break and Enters at 260 Regina Street in Waterloo. Between October 2014 and July 2015 police allege he broke into twelve residences and was captured on video surveillance for each occurrence allowing investigators to recovered excellent video surveillance images of the accused. The images were given out to the public to assist with identifying on several occasions but no solid information came forward. On July 25, 2015 investigators organized surveillance inside the Regina Street building by police. At approximately 2:56 am police observed the accused entering the building and then enter an unlocked residence. Melles was arrested shortly after. Investigators interviewed Melles and he admitted to each incident that he is now charged with. Numerous other charges with be laid once further investigation is completed. Numerous items of stolen property taken from 260 Regina Street were recovered during a residential search warrant of his home on July 26. Clothing worn and items used for a disguise were also located and seized. Additional charges are anticipated pending further investigation. Members of the public are reminded to keep their residences locked while sleeping or away from them, and to report any suspicious activity to police.
