On Thursday May 31st, 2018, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an 88 year old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of an east side business.
At the time of the incident the woman was pushing her shopping cart behind the vehicle involved when it began to reverse. Not seeing the pedestrian, the vehicle struck the female knocking her to the ground and causing injury.
The driver remained on scene and Emergency Medical Services was called. The female was transported to the Grey Bruce Health Services by Ambulance where she was held in hospital for monitoring. The severity of the pedestrian’s injuries are unknown at this time.
