(WALKERTON, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliary Unit collected donations for the Walkerton Food Bank on Saturday November 23, 2013 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Auxiliary members collected non-perishable food items or cash donations for the food bank in the parking lots of the Foodland and Valumart stores.
The need for food bank assistance increases as the holiday season approaches, so take a moment and help us stuff a cruiser. It’ll make you feel good and rest assured all donations will be appreciated and put to good use.
76 bags of groceries and $355.90 in cash donations was collected to support the food bank. The South Bruce OPP Auxiliary unit appreciates the support of the community in making this event so successful.
