On Saturday April 22, 2017 at 1:10 p.m., a 75 yr old woman was operating her power wheelchair and trying to cross Weber Street North at Lincoln Road, in Waterloo. A 47 yr old Kitchener woman was driving a motor vehicle and turning right from Lincoln Road onto Weber Street and struck the wheel chair. The 75 yr old woman was taken to Grand River Hospital with non life threatening injuries. the driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured. Charges of turn not in safety and drive in contravention of conditions were laid against the driver of the motor vehicle.
