(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) On June 10, 2013 at 7:16 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township observed a Silver Volkswagen Passat moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle’s speed was displayed on radar at 112 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The officer activated the cruiser emergency lighting, but the driver didn’t stop until he reached the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant in Kincardine. When he exited the vehicle, the driver refused to cooperate and began yelling at the officer. Another officer arrived and the male was seated in the rear of a police cruiser as he was processed. 73 year old Gary FREER of Kincardine has been charged with Speeding and Fail to identify. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 20, 2013 to answer to the charges.
