The Barrie Police Service is currently investigating a robbery which occurred on November 11, 2013 at 4:27 pm.
The 72 year old victim attended a bank on Collier Street; she completed her transaction using the ATM machine located in the lobby area of the bank. The male suspect was standing outside the bank before the victim entered. He subsequently followed the victim to her parked vehicle located in the Collier Street parking garage.
The suspect approached the victim and demanded the money from her transaction. The victim was able to defend herself with car keys and screamed for help. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen running west on Collier Street.
The suspect did not obtain any cash.
The suspect is described as male white, 18-19 years old, slim build, height 5’7, small beard. ¾ winter coat.
