(HURON EAST, ON) – A noise complaint about a loud party taking place at the Heritage Estates Trailer Park last night has resulted in criminal charges for one of the party goers. Last night around 11:30 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a nearby resident that reported there was a loud party taking place inside the trailer park that had been going on for several hours.
Upon arrival officers heard a loud argument taking place inside the residence so they approached the residence in an effort to investigate what they thought was a possible domestic altercation. The investigating officer was immediately met by an intoxicated male that refused to identify himself and further refused to comply with the officer. Further, while the officer was attempting to speak with the male on the doorstep, the male tried to slam shut the door on the officer. This action prompted the officer to place the male under arrest for Obstructing a Peace Officer. During the course of the investigation officers also found the male to be in possession of marihuana. Further checks also revealed the male was currently serving a probation sentence and was failing to comply with conditions of his release.
As a result, 72-year-old Joseph MIKOS-SCHWARZ from Niagara Falls has been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer, Resist Peace Officer, Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana and Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts). He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 16, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
