$70,000 Cocaine Bust In London

On Wednesday December 7, 2016 , members of the Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence on John Street in the City of London.

In early December, 2016, the Canadian Border Services Agency notified the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in relation to a seizure of a package that was destined for an address in London, Ontario. The package was alleged to contain a quantity of cocaine.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:

735 grams of cocaine valued at $73,500

79 grams of marihuana bud valued at $790

Cocaine packaging

Cell phones

$80.00 in Canadian Currency

Prohibited weapon

Bouthegard Sanchez, 31 years of age, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, contrary to section 465(1)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

Unlicenced person possess prohibited/restricted weapon, contrary to section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

Unlawfully import/export schedule I substance of not more than one kilogram, contrary to section 6(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and

Possess schedule I susbtance for trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Albert Maxwell, 31 years of age, of London is charged with the following offences:

Possess Schedule II substance not in excess amount, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Albert Maxwell and Bouthegard Sanchez are jointly charged with the following offence:

Possess Schedule II substance not in excess amount, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
