7 Vehicle Entries In One Night

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Friday morning March 30, 2012, seven St.Marys residents contacted the Ontario Provincial Police reporting that their UNLOCKED vehicles had been entered. A number of the vehicles had items removed from the interior but none sustained damage.

Police investigation revealed that the seven vehicles were entered sometime between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Friday morning. (One of the vehicles had its car alarm activated at 3:30 a.m.).

– A vehicle on John St. North was entered but nothing was taken.
– A mini van parked on Jones St. West had a guitar removed from inside.
– A car parked on William St. was rummaged through but nothing was missing.
– An SUV was entered on Jones St. East and CD’s were removed from inside.
– A mini van was entered on Queen St. East and a survival kit was taken.
– A GARMIN Nuvi GPS was stolen from a car parked at a Peel St. South residence.
– Change was removed from vehicles parked at a James St. North residence.

The public is reminded to lock their vehicles, even if they are parked in a private driveway. Try to park your vehicle in a well-lit area, and do not leave valuable objects or packages in full view. Put them in the trunk.
