7 Distracted Drivers Charged In Three Hour Period

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday October 09, 2012, a Perth County OPP officer was patrolling in and around the Village of Shakespeare. Between calls for service the officer observed a motorist operating a vehicle while texting. He ticketed this driver for “driving with a hand-held communication device”. Upon completion of this traffic stop a second driver was observed operating a cell phone. This continued seven times in well under three hours.

All seven motorists received a $155 ticket for their irresponsible actions.
