Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious pedestrian collision in the City of Markham.
On Friday, November 4, 2016 at approximately 9 a.m., officers responded to the scene of a collision in the area of Markland Street at Woodbine Avenue. When police arrived on the scene they located a male pedestrian who had been struck by a four-door Silver Acura.
The pedestrian, a 68-year-old man from Markham, was transported to hospital with serious injuries, which have now been determined to be life threatening.
The driver, a 62-year-old man from Markham, was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
