68 Year Old Kincardine Man Snaps In Parking Lot And Beats Vehicle Loaded With Children – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 16, 2017, at approximately 2:28 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an altercation in the parking lot of Home Hardware located on Hwy. 6 & 21 on the Sunset Strip in the Township of Georgian Bluffs which resulted in the arrest of a Kincardine man.

The victim, a 33-year old male from the Township of Georgian Bluffs, accompanied by his wife and children, were inside their parked vehicle when a Chevrolet Astro van pulled in and parked beside them. The driver of the Astro van exited his vehicle and began yelling at the victim. The suspect then reached into the vehicle and began grabbing at the victim’s hat. The suspect damaged both windshield wiper blades on the victim’s vehicle, a Honda Odyssey van, before heading into the store with his wife.

68-year old Lawrence HUTCHINSON of Kincardine was arrested at the scene. He was charged with assault and mischief under $5,000.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 3, 2017 in Owen Sound.
