67 Year Old Fails To Yield And Collides With School Bus

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – On June 2, 2010 at 3:25 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to the scene of a 2 vehicle crash, involving a school bus, in the town of Chesley along with Bruce County Ambulance and the Arran Elderslie Fire Department.

A Chevrolet Blazer had been travelling north bound on 5th Avenue when the driver failed to yield at 4th Street South West. A Kunkel Bus Lines school bus was travelling west bound along 4th Street South West when the Blazer pulled into its path. The crash caused the Blazer to roll over and the vehicle came to rest on its roof against a tree.

67 year old Larry FRITZ of Brockton was driving the Blazer. He was transported to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Chesley where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. FRITZ has been charged with Fail to Yield.

The bus driver, 30 year old Hollie WARD of Dobbinton, and 2 students, were taken to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Chesley for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
