Mary Allen (67) of St.Marys has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. She is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on January 30, 2012 to answer to this charge. In addition she was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The Perth County OPP wants to remind motorists that R.I.D.E. checkpoints can be encountered anywhere as they travel this holiday season. This past weekend 22 R.I.D.E. checks were conducted throughout Perth County with thousands of drivers being checked for sobriety. Motorists are urged to drive sober or not to drive at all.
