Barrie Police responded to a call for a drunken male who appeared to be passed out in the area of Dunlop and Toronto Street. The 65 year old man of no fixed address has had numerous dealings with police. The caller was concerned as he did not want any harm to come to the intoxicated man.
Investigating officer arrested the accused for being intoxicated in public and taken into custody for his own safety. He will be released once sober in the morning with a Provincial Offences fine to pay.
