(HURON EAST, ON) – A 65 year old Mitchell resident has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol after he was stopped for speeding on June 5, 2015. At approximately 8:25 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed the driver of a Buick sedan speeding eastbound on Huron Road just east of Kinburn Line.
Upon stopping the driver and speaking with him the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was performed and the driver registered a fail. He was placed under arrest and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 65 year old Franz KISSLING from Mitchell has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 22, 2015. He also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
