The first of the snowmobiles crossed Perth Line 55 safely but the second snowmobile operator failed to see an east bound Pontiac Montana minivan on Perth Line 55. The Skidoo Renegade snowmobile collided with the passenger side rear corner of the minivan.

As a result of the collision the operator of the snowmobile, a 65 year old male from the Township of Perth East sustained minor injuries, he was not transported to hospital. The driver of the minivan a 43 year old male from the Municipality of West Perth was un-injured.

The snowmobile operator has been charged with “fail to yield-adjoining property” contrary to the Regulations under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act.

Snowmobile operators and all motorists are reminded to take extra care when crossing or pulling onto roadways as the high snowbanks may obstruct your sight lines. “Be sure to Stop and Look”.
