(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Wednesday June 24, 2015 shortly after 10 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a vehicle on Huron Road (Hwy 8) in Sebringville. The odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath. The female driver failed a roadside breath test and also failed subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Stratford Police station.
Linda MCLAREN (62) of the Township of Perth East has been charged with “driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on August 10, 2015, where she will have to answer to the charge. She also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her car was impounded for seven days.
