(KINCARDINE, ON.) – From April 14th to April 24th, the South Bruce OPP participated in the Spring Seatbelt Awareness campaign. Officers checked 10, 654 vehicles resulting in 61 charges. 50 drivers were charged for not wearing a seatbelt and 11 passengers were charged for not wearing a seatbelt. Seatbelts save lives; the fine for not wearing a seatbelt is $240. If you’re not buckled up…what’s holding you back?
