600 Vehicles Checked At RIDE – No Drunk Drivers

On December 13/14, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. the Guelph Police Service conducted a RIDE program. Officers checked 600 vehicles with three roadside screening tests being administered. All three drivers passed.

Guelph Police would like to remind drivers that throughout the holiday season they will continue to conduct random spot checks for persons driving under the influence of alcohol. Registering breath samples over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 mls of blood will result in an immediate 90 day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension. Convictions for impaired driving and driving with over 80 mgs will both result in a minimum twelve month driving prohibition.
