A 60 year old Owen Sound man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car Thursday night.
The man had been pushing a shopping cart on the roadway on 2nd Avenue East at 14th Street East when he was struck by a southbound Ford Crown Victoria being driven by a 47 year old Owen Sound man around 10:30 PM. It was dark and raining at the time of the collision.
The pedestrian was initially taken to the Grey Bruce Health Services by ambulance but was subsequently transferred to London Health Sciences (Victoria) in stable but critical condition.
The collision is still under investigation. No charges have been laid.
